John Renshaw

  Born and raised in Macclesfield, Cheshire, John's artistic journey began at Stockport College, where his Foundation course played a crucial role in shaping his career ambitions. Inspired and motivated by his tutors, John found the encouragement he needed to pursue his passion for art, later returning as a full-time tutor. 

John maintained an active artistic career, prolific in terms of painting and drawing and with a very impressive individual exhibition biography. 

He is a distinguished figure in the art world and has made significant contributions to the field of painting. 

In addition to his remarkable artistic achievements, John dedicated many years to nurturing the next generation of artists through his roles at the University of Chester. As a respected educator, he inspired countless students with his dedication to art and drive for excellence. His influence extends beyond the classroom, as he has played a pivotal role in shaping the creative landscape of the University and the broader community.
